Healing as a Source of a Better Life

I am still going through that very important healing that I though complete several days ago, the healing to do with things that happened when I was three that had me decide I was worthless. As I do so, I have had some important reminders of what it takes to receive the healing and how to deal with the symptoms as the healing progresses and I thought I would sum them up here in case they are useful to anyone else.

The first thing to say is that the universe always respects one particularly important law, the law of free will that says that in order to experience new things we must make our own choices, free from interference from others. We may be jolted, guided and even pushed sometimes but in the end it is our choice whether or not to follow the guidance. Some of us stubbornly hold on to things that would be better “healed” or transcended but that is our choice. This is important because it is vital to understand that unless we exercise our free will in some way, the healing cannot take place.

The next step is to choose healing and that if fine if we are aware we could do with it, but, if not, how can we exercise free will when we are not even aware there is an issue? Well, there are many ways other parts of our being (subconscious, body, soul, etc) may try to communicate with us. The body will express things through ailments and injuries: so feeling burdened might manifest as shoulder or back ache for example; the subconscious may push ideas into your conscious mind or give you dreams that are a clue; the soul may do the same as the subconscious mind. So it is that we receive clues - most commonly in the form of pain. We may also experience emotional pain too, such as depression, anxiety, sadness, anger, jealousy, etc. Once picked up, they allow us to act, so the key is to notice these communications or clues.

Acting requires that we communicate our consent to a healing, to overcoming the cause of the symptom. This can be done in prayer or quiet reflection, addressing our minds to the universe, God, or whichever entity is special for you, from your guides or angels to archangel, religious figures such as Jesus, Mother Mary, Mohammed, Buddha, and so on. There is no “right one” though physical healing is often well supported by Archangel Raphael, for example.

The key thing is that, whatever your belief system (my own is totally cosmopolitan), you communicate your desire for healing and that opens the doors, free will having been exercised. In my case, I am almost constantly going through healings that take me and my vibration higher and higher. Why? Because my free will was exercised by promising to have the best life possible and to not stop until I do so and also by promising to serve the universe as it wills, so overriding my own will and allowing it to answer my commitment and prayer by slowly working to strip away the illusions I have accumulated that have me feel less than “healthy” in all areas of my life. Such things are available to all who have the desire (and courage?) to make such a commitment. There is no price, no charge and there are many rewards, but it can be tough at times.

Once a healing has begun, there is usually no need for any further action on your part. It happens of its own accord. There may be things that can facilitate it or alleviate any symptoms, but that is all. Sometimes we may be guided to visit a health practitioner and, if so, follow what feels right. Don’t do it only because you feel you “should”.

So, what is the experience of healing like and how do I deal or cope with it? The experience varies according to whatever it is that is being worked on. Very often, as it involves being “blasted” with positive energy, it can often leave one feeling tired, drained, even low of spirit, as one goes through it. Another common experience is that the very feelings or emotions that are being healed may suddenly surface and you may feel worse for a while - or if the healing has come in response to pain, it may get worse before it gets better. Pain will often come where none existed before as part of the process of removing the negative energy that resides inside ones body, stored from past events and emotions. This was what happened to me in the early stages of the current healing and indeed, as the issue for me was very deep, very old and very important, I was sometimes in agony. That is fortunately pretty rare though.

The important thing to alleviate any temporary suffering (physical or emotional) is to understand that it is just part of the healing process and should not be feared but merely accepted until it clears as it will inevitably do in time. The deeper the issue, the longer it takes and the more severe the symptoms will usually be. But this is all positive and is worth the temporary inconvenience. You may find you get a cold or food poisoning or eczema (I have had all these and many others!). I don’t like it but I try to accept it as all healing is quicker if it is not fought with or resisted. I have had so many symptoms, especially since I stepped up my game in the last 2-3 years - I am someone normally blessed with good health so it does take a little getting used to.

Another thing that is important to understand is that whilst healings are often profound and permanent, there is always another level it can be taken to and if you really take your life on, as I am doing, you will need to accept that things will therefore come around again, not because the healing didn’t work before but to take it to a much higher level. That is what is happening for me now - I have been through things before starting with simple awareness but this is a much higher level that will remove most of the symptoms of its presence on my psyche.

So, there you have it, the essence of what it takes to be able to receive healing including different choices for how they are instigated, whether automatically or in response to a positive request for support and healing. It will therefore be appreciated that unless you have make an open-ended commitment and promise like mine, you have to take action to receive it and that can only happen when you are aware there is an issue. The main triggers will be physical complaints, especially recurring ones, and emotional discomfort or suffering such as anger, loneliness, frustration, jealousy, low self esteem, etc.

I will leave you with one thought: do you want a better life, a life where nothing is missing and you experience a lot more joy than pain? If so, you need to choose healing as the source of fulfilment of who you are and of happiness as well as good health (which are, of course, all inter-related).
